Ingredients:
For bread:
One third cup of brown sugar.
Two teaspoon ground cinnamon
Two apples—preferably a sweet type like Honeycrisp or Gala—peeled, cored, and chopped.
Two-thirds cup of coarse sugar
One half cup softened unsalted butter.
2 big eggs
One half a teaspoon vanilla essence
One and a half cups all-purpose flour.
One three fourth teaspoon baking powder.
1/2 cup milk
Regarding the Glaze:
One half cup of powdered sugar
Two to three tablespoons either cream or milk.
Optional 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Turn on the oven preheat and Ready the pan:
Set your oven for 350°F (175°C). For easy removal, grease and flour a 9x 5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Save.
Make the Apple Mixture ready.
Combine the chopped apples with two teaspoons brown sugar-cinnamon mixture in another bowl. Toss until the apples have a good covering. Set aside.
Beat the softened butter and grained sugar together in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. One at a time, beat in the eggs; then, mix in the vanilla essence.
Combine the dry ingredients:
In one another dish, whisk the flour and baking powder.
Combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients:
Alternately with the milk, gradually whisk the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just mixed.
Put the bread together.
Fill the ready loaf pan half full of batter. Over the batter, toss half of the apple mixture; then, top with half of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Pour the remaining batter over the apple layer; top with the remaining apple mixture; then top with the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Bake until a toothpick put into the loaf’s middle comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven.
Get the glaze ready.
Combine the powdered sugar, milk (or cream), and vanilla extract (if using) in a bowl until smooth while the bread cools. Add a little more milk until the glaze reaches a dripping consistency if it is very thick.
Once the bread has cooled, sprinkle the glaze over top. Set the glaze then cut and present.
Enjoy!
