Ingredients:
°1 cup all-purpose flour
°3/4 cup whole wheat flour
°1 tablespoon baking powder
°1/2 teaspoon baking soda
°1/2 teaspoon salt
°1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
°1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
°1/2 cup melted butter
°1/3 cup brown sugar
°2 beaten eggs
°3/4 cup maple syrup
°1/4 cup grated apples
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Butter and lightly flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
In a small bowl, sift together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar. Slowly stir in the beaten eggs.
With a wooden spoon, add the sifted dry ingredients alternately with the maple syrup and stir until blended.
Stir in apples.
Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool completely..
