Homemade chocolate chip cookies

*Ingredients:

°1 1/4 cup flour

°3 tablespoons cornstarch

°1/2 teaspoon of salt

°1/2 tsp baking soda

°1 stick cold butter (1/2 cup)

°6 tablespoons granulated sugar

°6 tablespoons brown sugar

°1 egg

°1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

°1 packet of semi-sweet chocolate chips. About 10-11 oz (or 1/2 packet if you want less chocolate)

°1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

*Methods :

Preheat oven to 475°

Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking

In the small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda

Cut the stick of butter into small pieces (as seen in the video)

In the large mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla extract

Gently stir the dry ingredients (flour, cornstarch, salt, etc.) into the large bowl with the butter/egg/sugar mixture (as seen in the video)

Add chocolate chips and optional nuts. Mix gently until they are completely combined

Using a full size spoon (tablespoon), make balls of cookie dough and place them on the baking sheet

Bake for 6-7 minutes or until tops of cookies are golden/brown (keep watching 🙂

Remove from oven and let cool (they will continue to cook inside as they cool)

For the fluffiest cookies, eat them while warm, not totally cooled

Enjoy!
